Media Ahead

The Marxists further believe that power lies in the hand of the few peoples, which are mostly the rich ones and the one who have a weapon to change the people’s thinking who are mostly the people who owns media. But on the other hand the pluralists believe that power is divided to in the hands of the more people. The media owners are the people who can change the thinking of the normal people.

The Marxists believe that media creates the moral panic among the people, so that they can do whatever the media wants. For example: media covers that the poor people stealing or doing something bad and showing it to the people calling the working class people the problem of the society and they are the ones who are ruining the society. But the media never covers the white collar crimes which are done by the rich and powerful people, these are the types of crime in which not only the single person but the whole society is a victim, and these types of crimes are never reported and no one is being punished for these.

Media also shows men always doing the wrong thing , but they never tell people that women also does something wrong, even if she does it, the society will not blame on them.  But on the other hand if the men does something wrong, they will be punished. This is the stereotyping done by the media, in favour  of the women. And this led the men towards more crime, because they know that even if they are innocent they are punished, so the do more crimes and this ultimately increase the crime rates in the society, and this is done by the media only by creating the moral panic in the the society.

As media has many adverse effects, there are also some good effects of media, like it socialize the person as well in a good or a bad way depends on the person himself. So we just can’t blame media for all the bad things, but we are also responsible for these problems.

Media plays an important role in making pupils life better, And it also does many negative things in the life of the normal people. As when people watch something on media, like the children sees violence on television and then they can try this in their real lives which can be really dangerous. Media Also implies the gender role socialization and the gender stereotyping because when a female commits the crime it is not reported but when the same thing is done by the male he is punished.

Media is also involved in the politics, as when there are elections being held, in any country media does polling on television which shows only few % pupils opinion but the normal person thinks that this party is going to win, so they never go to voting. And media also plays an important role in characterizing peoples image infront of the people and this creates a good image of a particular leader and than many of the votes goes to that leader.

Media, Which is liked by the People all over the globe is also hated at the same time from the people, it depends on the content of the media, like media sometimes support the racism, then this is hated by all the God fearing person and the ones who don’t like racism. So all the people can turn up to media, and this is the time when media is hated by the people mostly.

Sometimes Media also involves in the education of the students, like in the countries like Pakistan there are selected subjects for girls and boys in the society, like Engineering is chosen by the boys mostly and the MBBS is chosen by the girls, there are less boys in Medical and the vice versa in Engineering.

Media is now a important thing in our lives and we should watch it, but should not apply these things in our lives, because does shows something which is against our society.

Mass Media encompasses much more than just news . It can be  used for various purposes.

Advocacy, both for business and social concerns. Which includes advertising, marketing and communication.

Entertainment, traditionally through acting, music , sports and television shows,

Public service announcements and emergency alerts.

Journalism

Journalism is the discipline of collecting, analyzing, verifying and presenting information regarding current events, trends, issues and people. Those who practice journalism are known as journalists.

How people see media

There are mostly three types of approaches by which people are attracted to media.

Direct Appoarch: In Which people do what they see on the media.

Appoarch Leader: In Which people do what their approach leader do, or ask them to do.

Audience Approach: In Which people do what the society think what is right.

Media plays an important role in stereotyping, like media  shows that white people are

Superior to black people in USA. And the same thing is done in Pakistan by showing that

Women are kept as servants in house,  but this is not right.

Media also plays an important  role in socializing peoples life these days, anything shown on media is now a great concern for people in today’s life, so people watch it and then follow it

As this is the only source for them of learning as in modern societies families has to go out to earn a living, and this is why what people see they follow.

  Media also shows poor people as the problem of the society, and forgetting the real problems of the society. And then people really think that poor people are the problem of the society. And this should not be the case. As this will give rise to the real problems of the society.

There should be some barriers as to what people see and what they follow.  The real problem is actually the media, this is what carl marx says, and is followed by thousands of people around the globe. And I m also one of them who aggress with Marxists view.
